Touraine is the sweet spot of the Loire Valley for Sauvignon Blanc — not as famous as Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, but producing wines with the same characteristic green and flinty personality at a fraction of the price. The Loire runs straight through the heart of this appellation, and the mix of clay, silex (flint), and chalk soils gives the Sauvignon Blanc a mineral backbone that keeps it interesting well beyond the first glass.

The 2024 is a textbook Touraine Sauvignon: pale gold in the glass, with lifted aromatics of white grapefruit, gooseberry, fresh-cut grass, and a flash of flint. On the palate it's crisp and direct — medium-bodied, bright acidity, a clean citrus finish. Nothing heavy, nothing overworked. Just the grape and the place doing their thing.
