Emile Henry | Ceramic and Cork Food Keepers
The natural properties of the cork help preserve the fruit and keeps it fresh for longer and keeps pesky fruit flies at bay. The ceramic body keeps the light out while the holes in the bowl help for air circulation, and together with the insulating properties of the cork lid, they help maintain a constant temperature, much like in an old school cellar. Made in France.
Fruit Bowl
The upper level – made of cork serves as a fruit bowl. The lower level, made of ceramic acts as a mini pantry to store potatoes, onions, beets and other root vegetables, as well as fruit that is not ripe enough.
Garlic Keeper
Whole heads of garlic will keep for several weeks or longer when stored at room temperature in a dry, dark place (to prevent from sprouting) that is well vented. Since garlic's lifetime decreases once you start removing cloves from the bulb, the top of the lid is the ideal place to keep in sight remaining loose cloves. 3 small openings in the bottom ensure the contents are well vented. Stackable for space saving storage.
Salt Cellar
Untreated, natural sea salt is especially susceptible to moisture and clumping. Thanks to its cork lid, the Salt Cellar keeps the salt dry & clean and also readily available for cooking. Simply lift the lid to scoop out the salt with a spoon or measuring tool. Unlike other materials, cork and ceramic are not susceptible to salt's corrosive properties. Stackable for space saving storage.
