• Hand wash in hot soapy water immediately after use.
• Do NOT allow the wood to soak in water.
• Never put in the dishwasher (this can cause discoloration, dullness, and eventually cracking or warping).
• After washing, wipe off excess water and allow to air dry thoroughly.
• Oil liberally with a food-safe mineral oil (like Earlywood's wood conditioner) when the wood starts to look dry. Oiling repels water and prevents drying out and cracking. Let oil soak in for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess.
• If raised grain or fuzz develops, use a fine grit scrubber (like a Scotch-Brite pad) along the grain to smooth the surface.
