Famille Ogereau has been a benchmark for Anjou Blanc since converting to organic farming in 1995 and biodynamic production (Demeter certified) in 2008. This pure Chenin Blanc is vinified in tile-lined clay tanks — an ancient technique Ogereau has revived to add texture without oak influence — giving the 2023 a richly mineral character: quince, pear, crushed stone, and a phenolic grip that allows Loire Chenin Blanc to age for decades. Drink it young and electric, or put it away for ten years. Both choices are correct.
