Domaine Henri Prudhon | Bourgogne Blanc
-Local Athens Pick-up Only-
This refined and expressive white wine is produced by Domaine Henri Prudhon & Fils, located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France. The Prudhon family, known for their dedication to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking practices, has crafted wines that beautifully reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards for generations.
The Domaine Henri Prudhon Bourgogne Blanc is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from 35-year-old vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in barrels, with both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occurring naturally. It is aged on fine lees in older oak barrels for 10-18 months, allowing the minerality to shine through without being dominated by oak influence.
This wine showcases a bright straw color and an aromatic bouquet of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, with hints of limestone and flint. On the palate, it offers vibrant acidity and flavors of lemon curd, green apple, and a touch of tart stone fruit, leading to a crisp, mineral-driven finish.
Pairings
This versatile Bourgogne Blanc pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, including fresh seafood, roast white meats, and crunchy greens. Its bright acidity and mineral profile also make it an excellent match for goat cheese and light salads. Perfect for both casual meals and elegant dinners, this wine is sure to impress. -AO
