The Santa Lucia Highlands sits at 1,200 to 2,200 feet in the mountains above Monterey Bay, where afternoon winds funnel cold Pacific air up through the valleys and keep the vines stressed in the best possible way. It's a brutal environment for grapes — and that's exactly the point. The diurnal temperature swings here push the fruit toward slower, more precise ripening, and the result is Chardonnay with real tension: bright acidity alongside full-ripe stone fruit, without going soft.

The 2023 is barrel-fermented with a portion of new French oak, which integrates as baking spice rather than butter. The nose offers lemon curd, white peach, and fresh pineapple. On the palate it's focused and layered — moderate weight, clean acidity, and a finish with subtle toasty spice. This is a Chardonnay that holds its line.
