Bacchus | Pinot Noir "Ginger's Cuvée"
-Local Athens Pick-up Only-
This vibrant and fruit-forward Pinot Noir is produced by Bacchus Cellars, founded by David Gordon, the wine director at New York City's Tribeca Grill. Named after his daughter Ginger, this cuvée is crafted from grapes sourced primarily from the Monterey region of California, known for its ideal Pinot Noir growing conditions.
"Ginger's Cuvée" showcases a dark ruby color and offers a delightful aromatic bouquet of red candy, cedar, and wet earth. On the palate, it features flavors of raspberry, tart cherry, and spice, with a touch of earthiness. The wine is light to medium-bodied, with a supple and balanced profile, highlighted by zesty acidity and a smooth finish.
Pairings
This versatile Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, including roasted poultry, fatty fish, and mushroom-based dishes. Its bright acidity and balanced flavors also make it an excellent companion for charcuterie, grilled vegetables, and soft cheeses. Perfect for casual gatherings or as an elegant addition to a dinner party. -AO
