Make four square waffles at a time and choose the style that suits breakfast: classic, thick Belgian-style or Liège waffles. GreenPan's Elite 4-Square Waffle Maker in Graphite comes with two sets of removable plates, so changing the waffle style does not mean finding room for another appliance.

That plate choice is the first useful difference from a waffle iron with one fixed grid. The other is control over the result. Adjustable shade and crunch settings let you work toward light and fluffy or darker and crispier waffles, rather than relying on a single doneness setting. An easy-to-read LCD display and an integrated one-touch dial with presets keep those choices visible while you cook.

The plates have GreenPan's Thermolon Volt ceramic nonstick coating, made without intentionally added PFAS. They are removable for cleaning and dishwasher safe, which makes a practical difference when batter reaches the edges or a batch leaves residue behind. GreenPan recommends silicone utensils to help extend the coating's life, so use a suitable tool to lift the waffles rather than prying with a fork.

This model supplies 1,600 watts of power and has anti-slip feet. Both the classic and Belgian waffle plates are included, and the plates store in the unit. The Graphite finish surrounds a control panel with separate adjustments for shade and texture, giving this appliance a specific job beyond simply heating batter between two plates.

We carry it for cooks who want to make waffles regularly and care about both their shape and their finish. Interchangeable plates and adjustable crunch make it useful for a household with different preferences, while removable dishwasher-safe plates make the cleanup less of a reason to leave it in the cupboard.

Allow for a body measuring 12.09 by 13.7 by 5.71 inches and a 33.46-inch cord. GreenPan lists a weight of 13.01 pounds. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth; only the removable waffle plates go in the dishwasher.
