A griddle this size is built for the mornings when you're doing pancakes, bacon, and eggs all at once. The double-burner length means you're not shuffling food around a crowded pan, and the flat surface handles smash burgers and grilled cheese just as well as breakfast.
Lodge's Blacklock line is thinner and lighter than standard cast iron, with a smoother cooking surface right out of the box. It still holds heat the way cast iron should, but it's easier to lift and maneuver, and the triple-seasoning gives it a head start on a good cooking surface.
We carry it because it's the kind of pan that earns a permanent spot on the stovetop. It's straightforward cast iron with a few real improvements, not a reinvention for its own sake.

Step 1: Wash - Hand wash with a small amount of soap if needed. Use a pan scraper for stuck-on food. For stubborn residue, simmer a little water for 3-5 minutes before scraping. Step 2: Dry - Promptly and thoroughly dry with a lint-free cloth or paper towel. A little black residue on the towel is normal and indicates seasoning. Step 3: Oil - Rub a very light layer of cooking oil or seasoning spray onto the cooking surface. Wipe until no oil residue remains.
