2024 Erste + Neue Alto Adige Pinot Bianco

Alto Adige borders Switzerland and Austria and culturally this area of Italy is more Swiss/Austrian than it is Italian, really. That is true of the wines as well - Alto Adige is mountainous and chilly and has infertile, shallow mountain soils that are perfect for making slow-ripening, low-yield white wines that are aromatic and crisp but structured.

Erste + Neue is one of the oldest and certainly most well-respected winemaking Co-op's in all of Northern Italy, some of the most intentionally-made Cooperative wine in all of Europe. Very high standards.
