Bona Furtuna Ancient Grain Pasta honors the spirit of Sicilian land and tradition. This Italian artisan pasta is crafted from 100% organic, non-GMO Sicilian heirloom wheat like Perciassachi and Russello. These ancient grains offer ideal elasticity and flavorful accents while being low in gluten and easy to digest.

Bona Fortuna's boutique milling process mimics ancient stone-grinding to create an heirloom semolina that gives this pasta it's authentic taste and perfect al dente texture. Bona Furtuna’s Italian heirloom pasta is shaped through bronze dyes, hand-cut and slowly air-dried in the Mediterranean breeze. Taste Italian tradition nourished by the Sicilian sun.

Fusilli - With a touch of sweetness, herbal hints, sunkissed grain, and ascents of cinnamon, Bona Furtuna Fusilli provides a great al dente texture and elastic structure. Representative of what humans have been eating for thousands of years and easy for digestion, feel the nutritional benefits of ancient grain pasta in every bite. Timelessly paired with tomato sauce and cheese, “Fusilli con Pomodoro e Basilico” is a simple, mouthwatering, traditional dish for the entire family.

Rigatoni - Found throughout Italy, Rigatoni is particularly popular in the bustling city of Rome, and on the pristine island of Sicily. A hollow core is made just wide enough to trap fresh summer zucchini, sweet spring peas, decadent bits of slow-cooked lamb, and so much more. Specially crafted bronze dyes give its outer shell even grooves, allowing the pasta to catch any remaining cheese and sauce left behind. Enjoy the rich Roman dish of rigatoni con la pagliata or the Sicilian tegame D’Aragona.

Bucatini - Found on menus globally, Bucatini is a favorite throughout Italy. Though perfect for saucy dishes such as carbonara and bolognese, one dish that is synonymous with this pasta is bucatini all’Amatriciana. Boasting deeply flavorful guanciale and rich tomatoes, this simple dish will have you eating like an Italian every chance you get.

Paccheri - Paccheri pasta was designed in the 1600’s to smuggle the robust and flavorful Italian garlic over the snowy Alps into Prussia, where the garlic was weak. For a few centuries Paccheri snuck under the watchful eyes of the Prussian government, establishing its mischievous and brave attributes in the hearts of all Italians. Since then, Paccheri has continued to smuggle bold and delicious flavors to its patrons. Enjoy Paccheri stuffed with ricotta cheese and baked with a meaty Bolognese sauce.

Tagliatelle - With a touch of sweetness, herbal hints, sunkissed grain, and ascents of cinnamon, Bona Furtuna Tagliatelle provides a great al dente texture and elastic structure. Representative to what humans have been eating for thousands of years and easy for digestion, feel the nutritional benefits of ancient grain pasta in every bite. Classically served with rich, meat-based sauces, savor Tagliatelle with “Ragu alla Bolognese.”

Busiate - With a touch of sweetness, herbal hints, sunkissed grain, and accents of cinnamon, Bona Furtuna Busiate provides a great al dente texture and elastic structure. Representative to what humans have been eating for thousands of years and easy for digestion, feel the nutritional benefits of ancient grain pasta in every bite. Impeccably paired with pestos and seafood, “Busiate with Trapanese Pesto” is a pleasingly light yet flavorsome dinner.

Black Cuttlefish Ink - Whether discovered in the far east by Marco Polo, or brought to Sicily by traveling Arabs, its provenance may be contentious, but Spaghetti has affirmed itself as uniquely Italian. With fresh cuttlefish ink folded straight into the dough, our unique and exclusive Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia boasts the briny, savory flavors of the Mediterranean Sea.
